“For the Mind, Body, and Soul”. Steaz Energy may seem like just another drink to fill the voidless gap of energy supplements that have been made in the past few years. I’m happy to say that this is one exception I’ve come across.
Steaz Energy is made from Green Tea, Yerba Mate, Acai, and Guarana. Four nutrient powerhouses full of antioxidants with years of proven energy boosting effects. First let me explain what each of these brings to the table by giving an overview of each herb/fruit.
——————————————————————————————————-
Guarana is a very popular herb to use as extra stimulation. For those geeky readers out there the Guarana herb is best known for the fruit it produces. Each fruit contains a seed which has about three times the amount of caffeine as the popular coffee bean. It’s one of the most efficient ways to give just about anything a boost of energy.
Green Tea is known for antioxidant and energy boosting properties. At about a quarter cup of caffeine of coffee (20mg) it provides a nice boost without the effects of being “wired”. Boasting its 5000 years of history Green Tea has been known for preventing and treatment of cancer to reducing cholesterol.
Yerba Mate is a very popular herb used as a tea and normally drunken out of a hallowed gourd with a metal straw. It’s less potent than coffee but gentler on the stomach. The taste is somewhat similar to Green Tea.
Acai (Ah-sigh-ee). It’s great when people come into the health food store I work at and try to pronounce it “Assaahhi?. Grown in the Amazon, Acai is a small round black-purple berry similar to a grape. It has a rich berry-cocoa flavor that packs more antioxidants than blueberries and pomegranates. In addition it has good stuff like Omega fatty acids, protein, and fiber.

Now that we know what each component of brings to the table we can begin to understand why this product is more than just a normal energy drink. Combing these components with the addition of organic evaporated cane juice you have a satisfying drink that will give you a steady flow of energy. Trust me; it’s much better than feeling like you downed 700 packets of sugar. Among being a great way to give yourself a boost of steady energy you reap the benefits of what these four nutrients have to offer.
You might be saying to your self, “How can an energy drink be good for you?” Well… I don’t have your answer. It’s much better than drinking a Monster. If you’re going for one, you might as well make a better choice of it. It’s still pretty sugary with the 23g of sugar but still less than most on the market. Among that it’s only about 110 calories for a 12fl oz can. The size is just right which is great if your on the go.
The taste is as described, “
To top the cake, it’s Organic & Fair-Trade. Another reason why you can justify it! You’re helping the environment and the farmers! Hooray!
Conclusion:
Overall this drink utilizes herbs & fruits for a phenomenal source of energy without a sugar crash. The taste is great with just the right size to satisfy your thirst. It’s still has quiet a bit of sugar and does leave a bit of a “gunky” taste in your mouth afterwards. Being Organic & Fair-Trade is icing on the cake. This product has really separated what an energy drink can be if done correctly.
